Beautiful collection, you’ve got a really nice eye for it! Eden & farmdog are my 2 favourites I think. Keep it up!
June 23rd, 2008 at 9:02 pm
Thanks Liam, really appreciate it! Will try and keep it up :) Eden is one of my top faves too - another top of the top is Kotton & Zipliner.

Yum. Great selections. Like every single one of them.

Great collection of logos, definitely some inspiration to be found in this list.

We are pleased to see that you like one of our logo’s
Thx!

Thanks for mentioning Zipliner and K12Reader :)
June 24th, 2008 at 7:31 am
Really pretty logos. But: If you resize the logos to fit your design, please add a href to the full version. It looks ugly this way it is now.
June 24th, 2008 at 8:11 am
Thanks David & Gaetan, great work!
June 24th, 2008 at 8:12 am
foo, thanks for your comment, I appreciate it, although I don’t agree that they look ugly - a well designed logo done the right way should look good at any size.
June 24th, 2008 at 9:29 am
WOW
nice logo’s!
That one from interfacefix is really great!

Bistro 1689 is the nicest logo I’ve ever seen.
June 24th, 2008 at 9:46 am
Nout, thanks so much - yes i love the details in the interfacefix logo. I checked out your blog as well - nice!!
June 24th, 2008 at 9:47 am
Much appreciation and thanks for your time and effort on this post. That said, I wish you would have sized the images and not squeezed them into the spaces above.
My eye was immediately drawn away to the jagged appearance thereby hindering the full enjoyment of these short of doing a view image on each one.
Thanks

barf - not even close - come on - completely derivative
June 24th, 2008 at 11:37 am
Great logos! I really like eden & interfacefix :)
June 24th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
I have to say at least 80% of these are terribly mediocre. And yes, they should’ve been resized.
June 24th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
Hi, lovely set of logos, but i have to agree with Foo about the resizing of the images and your slightly missing the point of what he’s saying. Or you just poking at him ( am only poking now so so don’t take offence).
All well designed logos should look good resized, on paper or web. But we are working with pixels her not pts.
Its the first thing I noticed and i’d say it would be the first thing their owners would too.
June 24th, 2008 at 12:58 pm
I love them all but InterfaceFix and Twentyfive92 are some of my favorites.
June 24th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
the most striking thing about this collection is how similar they all are to each other. Great set if the point was to show how few new ideas there are in logo design today. It’s actually stunning to see how nearly identical the compositions are (icon up top, type centered underneath on all but 9 of them). Beyond that, scaling, form and color is depressingly similar throughout all 50.
The inspiration here should be to break out of our safe themes, not to keep to doing the same things!
June 24th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
Thanks for the comment Trevor, the similarities probably come from my style, I chose them because I liked them and it’s similar to color palettes, type and treatment that I design.
June 24th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
George, that’s your opinion and I respect that.
June 24th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
Jonathan, Nice picks!
June 24th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
Elevate, thanks for the comment, however I was choosing designs that I think reflect a certain style and are very well designed logos. I’d like to know why you think they are mediocre or perhaps out of the 20% you do like, which ones?
June 24th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
adelle charles - very good point that we should all pay attention to with these lists. When showing the work of others, we’re saying as much about our own personal tastes as we are about what we’re looking at. And that can be plenty useful in its own right.
June 24th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
Salvation is perfect wonderful amazing and so all.
June 24th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
Nice…most of these I’ve seen which means they’ve done a good job at branding. :) I suck at creating logos…

Very nice Logos, I like them al.

Excelent logos, but some of the company names are TERRIBLE!
‘ingenioustries’? Ouch!
:-)

Hello Adelle.
Thanks for the kind mention in your resources section. All the very best.

Um… no. Maybe if they were vector-based you’d be correct, but a jpg re-sized (but not resampled) does indeed look like garbage.
It is hard to appreciate these pics when you need to constantly “rightclick->view image” (in FF).
June 24th, 2008 at 11:35 pm
Great post, it inspired me to design new logos for my sites.
June 25th, 2008 at 5:25 am
I count only 43 … ??
June 25th, 2008 at 6:32 am
Amazing list!
June 25th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
@ Elevate I’d love to see what your idea of a good logo is if you say that these are just standard. I disagree with your comments as I can appreciate the simplicity and elegance of these logos. They’re stunning.

Fantastic collection of logos you have here, thank you for the inspiration!
July 2nd, 2008 at 8:45 am
Superb collection I must say, some great examples!!
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:00 am
I really like Zipliner, very cool logo.
July 3rd, 2008 at 11:33 am
These are nice logos indeed! But, to me, the best one I have ever seen is this one: http://nmi.nl/img/logo_gfx.gif . Sometimes I drive by in my car and see the giant logo on their building http://nmi.nl/img/home_main_content_gfx_delft.jpg
(NMi is a knowledge intensive organisation focused on metrology and gaming.)
July 3rd, 2008 at 1:34 pm
Thanks Anna! That is a very cool & simple logo. Nice eye!

There are a few good concepts in here, but most of them are pretty vanilla. Nice inspiration for form, though.

These images seem to be resized solely to fit the design of this page. Squeezing a 300×200 image down to 50×50 (just an example) will distort the image. Anyone not “in the know” would only see jagged images and not understand why. Full respect for the artists’ works means showing the image(s) as they intended. (Try the “fuel your creativity” icon at 270×219.)
July 26th, 2008 at 12:31 pm
awesome collection, but why did you chose the feedsburner logo, it’s so ugly
July 26th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
I must agree that they are quite mediocre. As much as I liked Twentythree92, the use of numbers as letters is so overused.
July 28th, 2008 at 12:38 am
Great post! I can’t get enough of the “Core Cider” and “Cream” logos.
July 28th, 2008 at 9:49 am
i find logo design one of the hardest tings to do, and can be quite nerve racking hopefully ill beable to get some inspiration from these [stumbled]
