These are all wonderful, I can’t single out a favourite as they are all incredible designs, thank you for compiling this great list for inspiration.
Very Inspiriting & Motivating. Thanks for sharing!
Most of these were very well done. Very clean, memorable, scalable, and appropriate. A lot of logo designers should look at these and take notes.
Thanks for the motivation, it always helps to take a peak at what other people do to get an idea of what’s possible and popular. I personally always striggle with logos, they’re just my weak point.
Very good sharing!
Awesome finishing!
Clear and Amazing Design!

Some lovely logos here – really like the Interface buble head – great detail! Cheers.

I felt the RaveCorp was very innovative! A real clever design!
But im definitely feeling the Blue Giraffe one for a favorite!

Great selection, I love most if not all of of them. I rather see a good elite selection of good logos for inspiration instead of just digging through a HUGE list and having to pick the good ones to take a closer look to appreciate it. Well done.
If I had to pick one that was my favorite it probably be FarmDog. The rest of the logos seems to look the same to me. A lot of them that are text only all have the round edges which looks nice but nothing exciting.
damn… these are really cool, and well designed. thank you for putting these up. very inspiring.. especially when you get a little stuck sometimes, and nothing is coming like it usually does.
very unique and cool designs. two thumbs up!
these are cool. How long will it take to learn photoshop to make creatives logo?
Not to long. Just play with photoshop and Illustrator.
Sparrow and Glove are my favorites!
Nice Post.. All Logos are awesome. Thanks for sharing.
The ‘Sparrow’ is awesome, love it
Love these logos they are great!
Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with just about every single one of these beautifully designed logos?
Times up.
None of them convey what the company does. A logo is like a graphical theme song. Someone unfamiliar with a company should be able to look at it and instantly know what a company does. Granted if the name of the company conveys this meaning you can have a bit more of an abstract logo but only if the name itself is incorporated into the logo.
Looking at the logos, while beautifully done, conveys no meaning what so ever. So, I would give each of them at best a C+ and tell the designer to go back to the drawing board and learn to convey meaning.
I disagree. I HATE concrete logos. The abstract/symbolic is my type. To me a literal picture is not a logo…it is clip art.
the thing about the logo is it is only as good as the effective marketing plan that it goes with.
A company would only let their abstract logo stand alone once the company is at a point that the public knows what it is about and knows what the ‘meaning’ is already…then the logo stands there to REPRESENT/SYMBOLIZE the company. When someone sees it, they automatically know what it means…because they relate it to the product they already know about.
Some of the most famous, and oldest, logos in the world are the chevy symbol and the golden arches of mcdonalds. And these are LARGE, leading corporations.
What kind of meaning does the chevy symbol convey?! NOTHING! Its just a random abstract shape….but I bet that almost everyone in north america knows what it means when they see it… and boy is it effective. Same as Mcdonalds. When I see those golden arches, my mouth waters and I think to myself “bah bah bah bah bah…I’m lovin’ it!”
THATS a logo. and that’s where I hope my company to be one day.
Sure, if your plumbing company had a logo that was just a picture of a wrench, it would show what the company is about…but boy is that lame…cliche, non-original, and very literal which is boring. its just clip-art really.
people that always think everything has to have meaning, are concrete thinkers, harp about practicality all the time, etc etc, really make my inner artist annoyed. Yes, the logo must have a FEELING that is condusive to the goal of the company, but it does not have to INTELLECTUALLY convey a concrete message. Most of the logos on that page makes me FEEL a certain way when I look at it, and that feeling corresponds to the product associated with that company. now that is way better than just concretely demonstrating what the company does. and its harder to do. Think outside the box.
But, yes, there are many types of logos out there, so I guess your prefered style is more of a word mark or realistic mark/branding, where I prefer a symbolic/abstract mark or a nice emblem. Depends on the type of company/marketing plan/goal too I suppose. But generally I thinl these logos are pretty good. Not all, but many.

The aesthetics on all of these are phenomenal, but I feel like 50% don’t effectively serve the purpose of a logo. Quoting David Airey, the purpose of a logo is to make it:
1. Describable
2. Memorable
3. Effective without colour
4. Scalable i.e. work when just an inch in size
5. Relevant to the industry in question
Some are memorable, but don’t communicate much of a message. Some communicate the wrong message with the colors and styles they choose. Some, well, I have no idea what they are, and forgot the logo and name completely after looking at three others.
I say that the Core Cider Logo is superb. It communicates that it’s a drink, colors communicate smooth, cool, relaxing vibe (look up psychology of colors for more specifics), and a very natural tone is given. Emphasis on the word core along with the image makes me thing classy but almost organic. More like genuine. I know, that’s vague.
Handle Barista has terrible connotations, although I see where it’s coming from. I don’t want a mechanical gear in my coffee!
I’d be hard pressed to take WebDesignWall seriously for a company with all those colors. The colors don’t communicate serious, professional design at all. More playful, extravigant, almost childish. Fit great for some markets, but exclude others.
Yorko design is superb in its message and meaning, relatively memorable, and definitely timeless. I like it.
Not this list I’d choose, but I think each is a great case study to emphasis different principles in logo design.
Ok, I’ll shut up now.
I agree, but only to a point.
A logo design should help communicate what a business does or the benefit their service provides, otherwise it’s just wallpaper. But logos are rarely displayed void of other business information — be it a website, marketing materials or even something as simple as a slogan. Heck, even design annuals include the client name and text description of what the business does — and that makes a huge difference.
So posts like this, sans any other information, are displaying the designs without context. That said, I don’t think the majority of these designs are exemplary.
i do agree with that. something that communicates what the company does is important. slogan, website or something to that effect as Kristof stated. otherwise you have no reason to look further unless you are just curious, and no one can or wants to base their customer base on curiosity alone.
Great post. Love the logos showcased here. And to be honest, I am inspired by a LOT of logos here & aspire to have a few of my own up there ;-)
Feed burner is the best one !
Love the logos, great post. Inspiration to all designers. The second logo for “eden” however is a complete rip off envato’s logo which can be seen here at http://themeforest.net/ Unless the logo for “eden” came first. But if not I hate to see a stolen concept on such a great post.
Sorry, after some research it seems that both companies “eden” and “envato” are the one in the same.
Hey cool post! I featured a couple of the logos mentioned on my blog post too. :) View my blog here : http://www.dcmedia-design.com/blog
These are absolutely stunning, very good for inspiration at the moment as im trying to create my own logo at the moment. Thanks
Great collection. I’ll suggest logorium.com to be included in the inspiration list.
Sparrow, Three Leaves and Salvation are very nicely designed but, IMO, the rest are meh.
These are indeed cool, each unique in their own way.I have made quite a few logos myself and posted them on my blog, check them out if you will!
kind regards!
Nice executions, thanks for sharing. It would be wonderful if there was some description associated with the logos so we can learn more about some of the critical thinking that went into them. Cheers.
amazing logo designs !!!! i always published some interesting logo design posts on my blog !! and your post is also fantastic and awesome !!! keep it up !!!
I like the revolution one a lot.
Great collection! simple and effective logo design is all ways the best! :)
Great post, stunning designs!
Love the simplicity of eden logo
Fantastic logo design collection. Great work. RaveCorp is simply No1. :]
Some of those logos look like clipart image. But some are great
There are some nice creative logos here. I have to disagree about the post refering to logos needing to be literal representations of the business they represent. I think a logo needs to be memorable above all else, and these are memorable, in fact I remember seeing some of these elsewhere before.
I’m pretty sure that Eden logo is stolen from Evanto… A pretty big design marketplace for many file types… All they did was flip the logo horizontally… http://envato.com/
Envato was formally eden way back when…
Sparrow and MoodBoard are just wonderful! Nice post!
Great inspiration source! Thanks for sharing.
great source of inspiration for logo design. thanks
