Free PSD: Facebook Fanpage Template
Lets face it, designers sometimes need to make a mock-up that doesn’t actually exist which sometimes can be time consuming and extremely irritating. Facebook fanpages have been a very hot topic for clients recently. They are wanting to break into the social media scene. FYC is releasing a mock-up Facebook Fanpage with editable text, posting times and anything else you can think of. Our Twitter PSD Freebie generated such a good response that we decided to give this away as well. Hopefully this will save you some time and help you create and effective facebook mock-up for a potential or current client.

Cheers for this, but I can’t see the use for it.
Nothing on that page can really change apart from the tabs at the top, the sidebar (which is going soon in a Facebook update I think?) and the profile picture.
The twitter PSD was useful because that would have a Photoshop stage, but a facebook fan page wouldn’t? Or am I missing something? Not complaining though, as its free, creative commons, so cheers for making it available!
Well, I had to make a mock-up for a client showing status updates, people commenting on them, their photo albums and sharing content. So they could see what it would actually look like. I know the facebook stuff is pretty static but you could also mock-up a tab of what a page using FBML would look like as well. Hopefully, it will render itself useful at some point. haha.
Yeah, sure a fair few people will find this useful, and like I say, its free, and there are way too many people who moan about something thats free imo!
I can see it now, giving this to a client, a local builders merchant:
“So Johnny Depp, Bob Saget and Taylor Swift will be commenting on our new brick shipment”
“Ummm, yeah maybe, so anyway, we OK to run with this?”
I tend to work with clients who have little to no experience when it comes to understanding WITHOUT mock-ups. This AND the Twitter one are GREAT for the userbase I work with, because the majority of them need to SEE it to get it! If nothing else, it will help me market my Facebook branding skills with some visuals!
Thanks Chad & Fuel!
Great! You’re welcome!
Thanks Chad! As someone who has to Mock Up a fair bit – It is always good (and a blessing) when someone (as yourself) offers a golden nugget such as this! Cheers!!!
You’re welcome! Glad it will help you.
Sorry, but you missed the biggest selling point of a FB Fan Page. The Profile picture is actually a free vertical billboard, but only if you use the maximum size allowed – 200 x 600 px. The design should include a planned square portion for the thumbnail image, which can be selected from the whole after uploading.
That’s a good point Stephen. I totally neglected that. When I made the mock-up initially for my use I made it so that there was the small profile picture. I didn’t even think about the horizontal 200 x 600px version. Thanks for calling that to my attention.
Cheers,
The design looks quite cool and very similar to the fb fan pages … ;)
Thank you for this Chad! I am glad to see more and more people tackling the static of Facebook’s design, but you are awesome for this free mock-up. Salud!
What happened? I got a 404 page when I tried to download the psd.
I can’t download it — I get an error message from Dropbox. Do you have a mirror link? This could definitely be useful to me!
Sorry Guys! We had some server issues and we moved it to another location. Should be all ready to go now.
Works now. Thanks!
I could have used this some time ago. Of course you can screen shot and mock something up yourself, but Chad has thrown us a bone and done it for us. Thanks a ton. I have a fan page to mock up for someone who doesn’t even know what a fan page is, they just heard that they needed one. So this will come in use soon.

This is an awesome resource and one I’m sure many of have been waiting for! Thanks so much for posting this!
Any plans to create a new one based on the new facebook look?
Sure! If there is enough demand for it I will make one based on the new look. Shouldn’t be too hard. :)
This is awesome for Client pitches, thanks so much! :)
Thanks so much for the effort and precision you put into this. Thousands of people around the world will find this very useful – we’re sure of it!
You’re .psd seems to be missing the button state for the “like” button. Something that you might want to add in future revisions. Cheers, J.
Thank you! It needs updated to the new style of fanpages and I’ll make sure that’s put in there.
How about with the new Timeline?
I’m just wondering why you chose to do this in 150 dpi ….
Many times I have to print things or scale them up later… I did it at 150DPI so you could get a decent print-out if need be. You can drop it down easy enough. I’ve had to recreate entire pieces so they’ll be “high enough” DPI.
Agree. I find this really annoying as well. Otherwise it’s good
this is a BIG help. Thanks for creating it. Im a graphic designer and i have some teens with projects asking for a facebook mockup for their assignments and campaigns. glad this is here :)
LOL… I love Bob Saget’s comment. That’s hilarious. haha
Would be really cool to see you create one for YouTube also :)
I’m not sure I follow. So you could make a mock-up for a client? (for a design of the youtube channel?)
Any plans to do this for the Info page? Would be great! Thanks.
Seems like a lot of work for a mock up? How much time did you have in on it? Curious…
I think I would have grabbed screen captures from things I thought were important for the page and mock something up… We all mock things up differently…
BUT, a good template no less, nice work, and thanks for sharing!
I’m not sure how much time I have in it. It was a while ago when I created. I had to make all that for a client mock-up so, I took it a little farther to share it with the FYC family. I had to have the whole page with sample posts and how they could utilize it…
Thanks Chad. Excellent jod done. I will give it a
try.
Hello can u tel me . how can i add comment plug in to static fbml. in facebook Fan Fage.

Yes, this will save me some time! Thanks!
Chad,
Just wanted to say thank you very much for doing this! I’ve been working through the night on a pitch and it’s exactly what I needed to save me hours upon hours of work. Thanks ever so much!
Thanks a million for this —– a huge time saver!

haha, that could be a possibility. I added those people so I woudn’t get into liability issues or show favorites of my friends. You are welcome to change them. Plus then its humorous that way.
Cheers,
