It is time to start a new project and what could be better than a new Woo THeme like papercut for a personal blog for a corporate blogger.

1. Why you want to win the Papercut Theme.

I’m not only wanting it. I really _need_ it. I’m in the planning phase for a weblog about web and design “from programmers for programmers”. And as I’m more a programmer than a designer, I’m in need of a great looking theme. A free theme is not really an option here. So the Papercut Theme would be definitely a big plus for me.

2. Give us a creative idea of what you *could* or would do with the Papercut Theme.

I will surely use it on the blog mentioned above and modify it a little bit to my needs (custom logo etc.). And then I’m trying to fill this quality theme with quality content. This will be hard enough for me ;-)

Its beauty, of course. But apart from this subjective opinion, I’m really looking for a theme for a public library website – and Papercut could be wonderfully spot on, due to its, er, theme…

2. Give us a creative idea of what you *could* or would do with the Papercut Theme.

Very practically: the site in question msut be in French, so I will need to translate Papercut – and once done, be very glad to give the translated version back to WooThemes.

However, this theme does sort of look like a newspaper. If I need something for wrapping fish, I figure I could print out the home page of any site that uses the theme.

p.s. It’s a great looking theme, but I think that you should choose the winner who talks about ease of use because they don’t know anything about coding. Ultimately, this is what will sell the theme, anyway. Or, you could choose Ana, because her avatar is better looking than the rest of the geeks posting here!

1. Why you want to win the Papercut Theme?

Its a beautiful, attractive and well organized and coded theme. I think Papercut and the WooDesign FreshNews theme (which I am in the process of purchasing for another company if I can get the contract~!) are the two best themes on the market as of Q3 2008. I am new to your work, but impressed by the quality.

2. Give us a creative idea of what you *could* or would do with the Papercut Theme?

There is a non-profit project that I am working on now that I think the Papercut theme with be ideal for. Basically, it is for a re-vamp of website that promotes democracy in Taiwan. (which could be lost in the near future given the current political trends.)

This site (in English) is by far the most read, most respected site on all things having to do with Taiwan. It is read by not only casually observers but also academics, the US State Dept, TWN and PRC students & intellectuals, business people and many other vip organizations. I believe I will be able to put your theme to extremely good use. In return, I think this is a good marketing opportunity for Woo Design to get their name and services exposed to thousands of new/potential customers. Thanks very much for your consideration.

An idea what I could do with the theme:

I would make it a blog and home for our band. There aren’t so many WordPress themes for bands, but the flexibility of this theme can meet our needs. Theme options are nearly ideal for us: from blogging recent happenings with album recording to posting concert photos via flickr. We could post tour schedules on the site and promote our music through theme’s built-in ads.

I am interested in graphic design and web design too, so I’d like to challenge myself to create something unique for our band and for our coming fans as well! :)

2. I have multiple projects brewing that this theme would be perfect for! I think my number one choice would be to use this theme on a personal project – a family history blog. I think this design would suit it nicely and compliment the type of content I’d be hosting.

2. Creatively, I’d make a dirty sanchez style video gallery of people papercutting their eyeballs! How cool would that be? No, a lot less interesting than that – I’d use it to showcase my skills in CRM. As I’m not a designer, I’ve been keeping an eye out for a decent theme that will fit in everything I need.

2. Give us a creative idea of what you *could* or would do with the Papercut Theme?
first of all, i’m starting two things in my life, being a designer and as a writer, as a writer i’m learning as i go and practice. But as a designer i must be honest that i’m still a long road to go :P everybody tells me that i’m too simple in designing a website, by learning this themes i could gain many new things. Beside that, this could give me great advantage to look cool in front of my friends :D
Actually i have a project to help my old professor, she had a green movement organization (Lantan Bentala) but she doesn’t have a proper website to promote it (http://lantanbentala.wordpress.com), i was planning to help her by making her a website, i got the web host and next month is the schedule for me to make it. if i have the developer license for it, i will use it for her and for myself :D
