Help I’ve Cut Myself!
No no, don’t be alarmed! I didn’t actually cut myself…
Help is a new line of healthcare products designed by Richard Fine who was inspired when shopping for pain relievers for a headache. The experience only made his head hurt more: the ugly packaging screamed out slogans under the neon lights, adding to the confusion. Fine’s response was to create simple packaging out of soft molded paper pulp, designed to be calming. The first two products are “help I have a headache” and “help I’ve cut myself”, tablets and bandages, respectively. via #
The packaging is great, simple design, lots of white space and actually very calming compared to all of the crazy packaging out there. Kudos to help. You can check out their product packaging & nicely designed site here.

As a clueless non-designer freelancer who is dirt poor, my concerns would be with the cost of such packaging. One might assume its simplicity would translate into cheaper production costs, but that obviously remains to be seen. Consumers generally have gaudy taste in product packaging, so this product would have to have a really creative, involved marketing campaign to get it noticed.
Just my humble opinion. *kisses* A!
You are absolutely right with your concerns…I’m dirt poor as well!
I think they are probably relying on using other kinds of recycled material
to push their product packaging to certain types of consumers but I don’t think it will reach a wide audience….yet. It got my attention but I purposely look for those types of things, your right most consumers do not.
Thanks for the comment ;)
