Great post! Definately right about variety of anchor text :) Not sure about the benefit of lots of followers on Facebook. I’ve seen 8000 followers show little benefit.

I have noticed that Google will put my Google + profile higher than my actual website. I find it funny how the big G thinks its better than everything else. Anyways, great article. Social Media drives SEO now a days.

Good, clear information here. As a web designer and SEO expert, I know alot of these facts already but have not seem them delivered in such a clear way before. I have found that the social networking approach is one of the most effective SEO tools a webmaster can use. The results can be seen within a couple of days so you can see exactly what works and what doesn’t. I use a backlink checker to analyze what socila media sites give the best results and have found that this is the clearest way to start any SEO campaign.

Excellent article sir, social media is definitely the most powerful ways to boost your website readers/visitors. Especially if your content is good enough for something to go viral and watch as your website go down from bandwidth limitations.. lol!

I love your insights about the convergence of search and social… and I think that a prolific internet marketer should be well-versed in both. It would be interesting to see a top # list of great social link ideas that have been very successfull.

The first one I can think of is “theOatmeals” error page that he gave to tumblr. A cartoonist and joker and he got himself a link from a major social network whenever it fails.
