I remember when a few mates and I would go out with a digital recorder and stereo mic and sample a bunch of sounds from an old wood shop warehouse. We'd bang on 55 gallon drums, break glass, smack 2x4's together and yell through pvc pipe to get different ambient sounds. Great to take the camera out and capture natural textures like bark and leaves for backgrounds in your graphic design projects. Enjoyed the article! Taking art from life is the greatest high.
