Minimalism has always proven somewhat of a problem area for me as a designer. To me, white space was always just more blank canvas that was begging to be covered. But I have been trying to step up, not only my ability to create in this arena, but to develop more of an appreciation for it. Having come a long way on both sides of the coin, I put together my first minimalist wallpaper for free download, and wanted to offer it here to our Fuel readers. Using a typography focus, I came up with a freebie that was up to snuff. Through Angie’s appreciation of minimalism, I have been able to grow my own, and in turn, grow as a designer. So I owe this wallpaper to her…but I am giving it to you, so if you see her around the web, do us a favor, and keep this ‘Where Am I?’ wallpaper on the D.L., will ya? Wait, I didn’t think that through…damn.

Very cool.
Thanks, Matt.
very well portrayed. the big question “where” is well placed. good job.
Thanks! I really like the positioning of it all. Though I like the placement of the little internal question hiding inside the most….maybe…. ;)
The question we all ask…much appreciated!
It is that eternal query that lives inside us so often. Thanks!
This is rad
thanks!
Thanks, Ben.
Awesome! Rob, it seems we all share the same experience, who hasn’t found themselves standing on that white canvas asking that inner voice “Where Am I?”
Very true, Mady. I did think it might resonate with a few folks.
nice design, also good question :)
Much appreciated, ertan. Glad you like it.
It’s kind of odd(and funny). Every time you woke and open your laptop/pc you see a question like that :) I like the minimalist design, but not the question. A motivational quote can energize your day, just a suggestion. :)
Ah, but you see, I do think of it as a motivational query. Everyday you look at your screen and ask yourself, ‘Where Am I? Am I where I want to be in life?’ If so, keep doing what you are doing, if no, then you know what you have to do!
