Ever since I was a young boy I felt the need to see the world, learn new things and above all else embark on a path to learn who I am.
Well being that I have now surpassed 26 years in age it is a good thing I have chosen not to grow up as I would be really behind with those goals now.
So I think FOWA would be a great chance to check off two of those items in part from my list. FOWA would allow me to see the world and learn new things and I get the feeling that I will have many years check off the last one.
FOWA? Sure anything in Miami beats eastern PA in February. We only have WaWa and I’d surely appreciate a chance to try FOWA’s coffee. If none of that works then maybe, just maybe I’d actually learn something about developing an iPhone app. :)
Jason Fried in a speedo? Count me in.
I would like to go the FOWA for a couple reasons. The first being it is just one of the coolest and informative conventions/seminars for anyone who is part of the web community. As a recent graduate I continualy need to prove myself to the monster that is corporate America. Any extra or first hand knowledge gained would greatly improve my standings. I love working in this crazy world we call the Internet constantly reason up on what’s new and where we are going as a globaly connected community. I would greatly apprecite this operrunity to expand my knowledge of the web and hopefuly be on the ground floor of some really cool new apps and services that are to come.
This would be so cool! I’d love to win a ticket! Mostly because I’d like to get to know more people in the industry personally. The warm weather would be nice as well!

I definitely hope to involve myself in more industry conferences, especially working at job with people who run other conferences. This would be a great first experience, and an energizing recharge of the creative batteries.
As an interactive copywriter, I have become used to attending interactive conferences that only have programming for designers and developers. Oh, and VCs and marketers. Oh, and non-profit organizations and bloggers.
But what about me? What I do affects the use of applications and websites tremendously. This year happens to be the first year that any interactive conference has put programming related to content (not blogging or social media writing but actual site/app copy) in the mix, and that conference is FOWA.
It is this small shift in programming that has revolutionized the interactive conference. It is this small shift in programming that I want to be there for. It is this small shift in programming that would make me grateful for a ticket to FOWA.

It is my goal this year to launch my first web application. I am determined to get it done and with my other work blogging about technology and specifically Microblogging there is no reason why I shouldn’t go to this conference (outside of just not having the money to pay for costs). I would love the pass and the opportunity to attend FOWA. Thanks!

Hey Thanks for putting this drawing together. I would jump at the chance to go!
I’m in the middle of launching an interactive agency with a couple of partners. In addition to building great web sites for our clients, we’re going to be creating and launching some webapps of our own. Attending a conference is always great because you’re surrounded by like minds and come away full of ideas, energy, and inspiration.

I have read all I can read. I need to start networking. I would love to start at the FOWA! Thanks for the opportunity!

I would really love to attend this conference. My organization doesn’t always see the benefit of sending its developers/designers to conferences like this. Maybe if I was sent for free they might begin to see the value.
Its pretty freakin cold here in New Jersey, and i heard in Miami the weather is just the blast this time of the year, give it to me, or i’ll freeze my fingertips and wont be able to finish typing th……sdf;alsdf dsi; s k;l

Great to see you doing this for your community.
I’d love to attend so I can get a better understanding of what’s going on in the digital industry and to further expand my knowledge by learning from industry leaders as well as other great folks in the community.

Miami here I come…
Its really simple.. I have ideas that will change the world.. basically
I want to give people the future of browsing for a product that i need a crazy community behind.. I’ll do this through video pod casting for increasing my success. It will be really powerful since I’m going to be building it in Objective-C using Cappuccino to power the site. I really need to get my team working closely together in a nirvana like state… What I’m trying to say is that I have a future web business model that will actually work.
Something tells me the conference might help a guy like me out.
because the name of the game is i win….!
jk
Because I want to get a Miami tan at the same time I´m planning to conquer the world throught Internet :)
web and all it’s around it… well… it’s my life!
it should a great experience (people, stuff to learn etc.) and a nice way to see again the USA ;)
I came into the Web 2.0 scene back in September and I’m going nuts with it. I love it. I am launching a new type of patent pending sunglasses this Spring and I’m seeing HUGE potential with web 2.0 and applications with my product and opportunities afterwards. I just LOVE learning, and this is exactly the event I want to be at. P.S. GaryVee is my hero.
I want to take the inhouse web team culture out of 1999 and into 2009!
I’d like to go for the educational experience…and the beaches.
This is the year that i`m really going to push my learning and networking. FOWA would be THE perfect start to a busy year.
I enjoy two things above all else:
Web Applications AND The Future.
In third place: THE PAST.

I’d love the chance to go to FOWA. It would be a great opportunity to learn about the future of web apps. I’d like to build one someday. And Miami would be a lot better than Kansas in the winter!
All my work is web applications. I build one for my employer, and constantly think about ones I can build at home as well. Peeze?

I would love to go. I’m only 3 hours away (From Tampa), I can easily drive there! I’m a student and I’m working an internship as a front-end developer/designer. This would be so beneficial to me education! Please pick me! The student tickets are sold out!
I am in some serious need of motivation. This would be a great way to kick off things in 09. My schedule has been and insane roller coaster of work for the past 12 months and this could definitely recharge my creative batteries.
I need to break free from this Canadian cold and rejuvenate my soul. It goes without saying that this conference directly benefits a startup and it’s founder in this budget-tight economic time.
As a blogger, Fuel will be part of this journey should I be the chosen one. Cheers

Just free me from this cubicle hell for a few days…Who knows? I may never come back.
I work in such a small company that the only training I get for web design is what I learn on my own. They could never afford to send me anywhere that would benefit them and me.
I think this is a great opportunity to network with people and really get to the heart of the interactive field.
This is just a great opportunity to kick start 2009. It’s time to be all FOWA all the time!
I’m a web applications developer / designer. What I love about this job is that I’m constantly learning new things, every project is a new experience and a new challenge. I would really like to go to the FOWA so that I’m present when the experts share their experiences and their views on the great next big thing.
The list of speakers is amazing! People whom I absolutely admire. Please make this girl’s dream come true.
I’m just starting out as a freelancer. Having worked for “the man” for a number of years now. Going to FOWA would be a great experience to learn from others who have gone and followed their dreams of doing what they love for a living. Building and Designing Web Applications is just the tip of the iceberg. And seeing all the great things that come out of Carsonified, I can’t help but be excited at an opportunity to learn from all the great people there.

I run a small company in Santo Domingo, our butget for this year is very tight. In simple words we can not affort the ticket fly plus the ticket Conference Pass. Most of this FOWA conferece are held in London wish is more expensive. This is a big opportunitie my company and personal develepment, I’m speaker, teacher and business owner.
This will be the first time that I could attend to a web conference like this one.
Thanks in advanced!
I’m planning on getting into web app development this year so this conference would be a great start!

I’ve already been to AEA and SWSWi so FOWA is absolutely next on my list as far as web design conferences go. I’d love the chance to expand my knowledge even further!

Wow, there are so many reasons I could say, but the truth of it is, is that I need to learn more about CSS. I’ve read about five books and still haven’t mastered the technique for layout. To say the least I would take this opportunity very seriously, and would learn and study as much as I could for this event. I am a freelance designer who has a child on the way, and this trip could help me learn and grow as a designer. It would make my skills sharper and put another web tool in my tool belt. I hope this comes across as wishfull and not pathetic. Thank you, and hope to be hearing from you.
Great conference. Great town. I really think this would be an amazing experience. I can only imagine the information that I would be able to take away from such a brilliant set of speakers.
I’ve never been before. I would love a chance to win those tickets!

Well, my name is Fowa so obviously I need to be there. But unfortunately I don’t have the cash. Think of it as a charitable donation and maybe you can write it off on your taxes. its a win-win situation.
“I love apps.”
“Do you really love apps or are you just saying that because you’re looking at a post about apps?”
“… I love apps.”
Pick me! Pick me!
So as a last year attendee of FOWA, I know the party is cool. (I mean conference, right?) I remember that the folks there first introduced me to Twitter. I was like what? hu? twit-who? But now twitter is an active part of my life. I wonder what new tidbits I could glean this year at FOWA to share/evangelize with the world. Plus this time, I know wearing a cool hat is a must, right Carson?
I’m broke, or I’d go myself. All I’ve got is Skymiles – and their burning a whole in my pocket for Miami. (Does a sob story help?)
Thanks for the give-away! And whoever wins – you’ll enjoy FOWA. Be sure to attend all the events and network. It’s most definitely a fun conference where you’ll learn a lot.

1) Never been to Miami, I hear there’s rockstars there.
2) My life’s passion has been laughter, but after that I choose web design.
3) If wormholes existed, I would just warp myself to Miami for FOWA. But until Stephen Hawking proves they exist, the only way I can fulfill my lifelong dream of going to FOWA (because it’s obviously been around for that long) is by entering this god forsaken contest.
Let it be done!
Oh man would love to win this… making web aps is a daily job for me…
I just missed out on a conference that I really wanted to be at. FOWA would be a great networking and learning opportunity for me. Thanks for the chance!

Like most other people, I too would love to leave the cold weather of Erie, PA and get a chance to go somewhere like Miami. Not only because of the weather, but to experience FOWA. I’ve heard a lot about it from other people, but it was always one of those “you’re lucky, I’ll probably never be able to do that” kind of things. I’ve been addicted to the web since I was 10, and always love to see the new future ideas.
I think I have an unhealthy obsession with apps in general, but more intensely with web apps. It’s a sickness really that bordlines on a fetish. If I come across and cool looking web app, I have to download. I can’t click on to the next page, otherwise I start to have panic attacks and with draws.
If the web app hasn’t launched yet and you have to sign up for a beta registration….oh my god. You might as well shoot me in the head! I cant eat or sleep until the app launches and I get to play with it. Everyday my inbox sits empty without a invite for the beta is like a day without love.
Needless to say, a trip to Miami and FOWA would be the equivalent to a trip to the Playboy Maison for me. Ok, maybe Im not so sad that the FOWA would be equal to the Playboy mansion, but it would be damn close.
I mean….look at my blog post…..

Ahhhhh I have 8 minutes to type out why I want to go to this thing in Miami!!!! Well first off I want to thank Adelle for featuring Creative Tempest for us. We just recently launched this website to inspire all forms of artists. First off I have never been to something like this so it would definitely be a trip of a life time. Lately I have never had the time to make a conference like this and now one has come right to my backyard. I live about 20 minutes from Miami and would die to experience something like this. My goals of course would be to figure out innovative ways to enhance what we have going on right now and bring more inspiration to the design community. AAAHHHH 2 minutes!!! Ok I love you guys! I would give anything to go! In the end its all about fueling you creativity and I think this conference will do that most definitely in my life. Later

Ok I am in a different time zone. So for me that is 11:59. Does that still count?
I am just starting out. FOWA would be a great experience. I am sure I will return with a lot of new ideas and with a new ‘future’ in mind.
